MTO works with tenants to form tenant associations. When tenants organize, they win concessions from their landlord, whether through improved building conditions, a reduction in rent, or relocation assistance.

When to organize: You have the right to organize at any time.

2. Mass evictions on a building-wide scale
3. Disrespect and/or mistreatment from management
4. Poor security
5. Large rent increases
6. Challenge unfair rules
7. Form tenant coops or other forms of tenant ownership
